March Madness - Day 2

A freak snow squall moved through yesterday leaving behind an inch or so of snow, which was enough to close even the turf fields for soccer practice.  :D. . .not that I'm happy about that. . .no never.  Teams need to practice.  Sure, it's about the team.  The team needs to gel and prep and yada yada.  The fact that I might be giddy about one less trip in the afternoon/evening has nothing to do with it.  That would make me a bad soccer-mom.

It's March.  It's March Madness, so today's color challenge only seems fitting.  There's something about Green Apple; both the color and the fruit itself.  It reminds me of my maternal grandmother's kitchen.  Her green apples wallpaper, the dishes, the bird cage that held a parakeet of one color or another for many of the years we visited, the mud porch that always smelled like apples, the curtain laced view of the huge school across the street and the new packages of Windmill cookies and Fig Newtons that were around when we visited.  They weren't for us. . .well maybe in a round about way, but they, the Fig Newtons at least, were for my dad, her son-in-law.

Today, use the color scheme to create your layout, card or other project you're working on.  Get it linked up by the end of the month to be eligible for March's goodies.

Happy Tuesday,
